Owner - Net Connex provides training and consulting on Microsoft server platforms including SQL Server, .Net, and SharePoint. Net Connex has provides these services for a select client list that includes Callaway Golf, Visio, Day Runner and others. My real world development and implementation experience enhances the training I offer by allowing to add value to existing curriculum and allow students to apply the knowledge learned to their own situations and needs.
Director of IT - Responsible for managing Vortex's IT infrastructure as well as the training staff. In addition I continued to deliver classroom training. I delivered multiple courses for Microsoft on behalf of United Training and Asentus. I developed custom curriculum and courses for Vortex customers.
Director of Engineering - Supported engineering staff on client projects. Implemented Microsoft CRM 3.0 and SharePoint for in-house use.
Senior .Net DevelopER / DBA - Responsible for the SQL Server back-end of a production property tax management system. Responsible for change management on database schema as well as for the database documentation. Created database upgrade scripts to support each release. Worked on prototype of a business license management web solution.
Instructor - Microsoft Certified Trainer responsible for delivering Microsoft Official Curriculum to Vortex customers. I was the staff trainer for the Microsoft SQL 7.0 curriculum, and expanded Vortex's in-house development training capabilities. In addition to SQL 7.0, I conducted courses on other Microsoft networking products such as Windows 2000, TCP/IP, and Windows NT. Responsibilities outside the classroom included Oracle 8.0.5 and 8i course configurations, course image preparation using Norton's Ghost imaging products, managing multiple internal SQL 6.5 and SQL 7.0 databases, developing applications for both the intranet and extranet, and providing other technical services.
VP Information Systems - VPI-NET is a web hosting service provider. My responsibilities include maintaining a reliable web platform 24/7 and evaluating and implementing new technologies to remain competitive. In addition, I participate in client development projects, technical sales, and business management. I also train clients on web development, the use of FrontPage and Visual InterDev, and general Internet topics.
Senior Network Engineer - TRI/DATA is a LAN solutions provider. I was the CNE on staff, and I led the majority of the NT networking projects. I developed TRI/GATE; a Windows based turnkey Internet proxy system for TRI/DATA to resell as a product. A noteworthy project was the implementation of NT networks on two Super Yachts. These networks included Internet access via satellite connections, and Intranet configurations.
Electronic Marketing Manager - Responsible for developing and implementing the National Pen internet presence, as well as a number of electronic marketing efforts including customized software products, fax back systems, and internal marketing efforts. Experience in developing CGI applications, Java, HTML, and working with graphics applications to develop a cohesive Web environment, Integration into backend systems, and training staff on the implementation and management of the systems.
WAN Services Director - Responsible for the management of international Wide Area Network and the LAN managers at all sites. Managed dedicated and dial-up WAN connections. Defined corporate hardware and software standards. Implemented and maintained corporate wide electronic mail system from CCMail and Microsoft. Maintained Platinum accounting software and BTRIEVE databases. Managed the LAN side of a System 38 to LAN downsizing effort. Implemented Windows 3.1 as the standard operating system on the network. Performed user training and course and curriculum development.
Service Representative - Responsible for all technical support in San Diego County. Obtained Novell CNE certification. In-house and customer network management. Bid and proposal preparation. Product line and standards development. Experience with a wide variety of network topologies, operating systems, and hardware. Developed strong customer support habits.
PS/2 Collegiate Rep - Responsible for IBM PS/2 sales to San Diego Community College District.
